Fun in Suncadia

Last weekend our friend Molly invited us to join her family in Suncadia. Suncadia is in Cle Elum (I posted about it once before). Her parent's just recently finished building their home and it is absolutely beautiful. My parent's have a lot in Suncadia as well, but have yet to build on it. I hope they build soon though as I always enjoy being there. We had such a great time with the McDaniel's and of course Hudson was thrilled to have Maddie around 24/7. Hudson has been battling various colds over the past month and a half, so we didn't get much sleep as he was up a few times during the night both nights. Our friend Melissa was also in Cle Elum over the weekend and stopped by with her youngest daughter Gracie on Saturday for a visit which was fun! We stayed at the house and relaxed the whole weekend. I didn't want to come home!! Thanks Molly, can't wait to crash your parent's pad again REALLY soon ;)

Buddha Belly

I think chubby babies are the cutest, especially when they are mine!! Charlie had her 2 month check up a few weeks ago and she is growing like a champ! She is up to 13 lbs already and 24-1/2 inches. It always amazes me how big babies get in such a short amount of time. She has gained 5 lbs and grown 4 inches in just 2 months!! I love her rolls and that Buddha belly. She is definitely a Mama's girl and doesn't like when she can't see where I am. Makes things interesting throughout the day, but I've learned to get creative. She is still sleeping in our room at night and naps in her swing in her room during the day as it's where I can get her to take over an hour nap. I've tried to get her to nap in her crib or bassinet, but she will only nap for about 30-40 minutes in either. I'll get her in her crib somehow, but if I can get the kids to overlap on their naps, I'm not in a big rush to get her out of the swing. I'm in complete denial that she is rolling over and wearing 3-6 month clothes. I truly feel like I never got a newborn with Charlotte, she's been a go getter from the start!

Hudson was 14 months old here! I laughed so hard when I saw this was my 4th picture, I still love this shot of him. I had to hide those cowboy boots because they are too small now and whenever he sees them he wants to put them on.

Baby Shower

My friend Molly and I threw a baby shower for our friend Sara last weekend and we were pleased that we successfully made our first diaper cake. I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself.

The shower was at my house and of course Charlotte was there. I finally got to put her in a dress I bought as soon as I found out I was having a girl. I remember having a dress similar to this when I was little! Charlie is 8 weeks old exactly in these pictures and is so cute I want to eat her!!

New Addition to Hudson's Bedtime Story

Ryan has always been the one to read Hudson his bedtime story, it's one of my favorite times of the night listening to him read to his son. Charlie is not always in the best mood during Hudson's bedtime routine though so we have had to get creative some nights. Hudson truly does think Charlie is the greatest, so he doesn't mind having to share this time with his Dad. And it's still one of my favorite times of the night.

Halloween Festivities

Hudson loved his Nemo costume (thanks Elesha for letting us borrow it!) and put it on every chance he got. Our favorite was when he would put it on at home with nothing but a diaper underneath, hysterical! Charlie was a bear this year as we already had the "costume" from when Hudson was a baby. Next year you can bet that I will frill her up though. I did add a pink bow as she is just too sweet to not have pink somewhere! This was Hudson's first year trick-or-treating and he was beside himself to say the least. We ended up going to Main Street in Bothell and trick-or-treating at the stores. This was great and very easy for Hudson as the doors were close to one another. His bucket was getting pretty heavy, but he was determined to carry it himself and wouldn't let anyone else have it! Pictures are from around the house, a Halloween Party at our friends the McDaniel's, and Halloween itself. Charlie is 7 weeks old here.

Pumpkin Patch

We had anticipated getting our pumpkins when we went to Remlinger Farms, but Hudson fell asleep in the stroller so we went to the South 47 Farm the following week instead. We had a good time walking around as Hudson picked out all the pumpkins that were either still green or rotten. Needless to say, none of his picks made it home...sorry Buddy! Charlie is 6 weeks old here.

My sister gave the kids these adorable Big Brother/Little Sister shirts so I put them on a few weeks back and took a ton of pictures. Charlie is 5-1/2 weeks old here.
