Snow, Snow, Snow!

Not really much to say here, we got hit and we got hit hard for nearly two weeks! I loved it, I love the snow, and I wish it was still snowing. Some shots of our winter wonderland!

Thank you and Goodbye Coach Holmgren

This one is for all you devoted Seahawks fans! Coach Holmgren's final home game after 10 seasons was a teary one. The Hawks won that day, but we all know this season was heart wrenching. We didn't stand a chance with all the injuries! Mike did wonders for the Hawks though even taking us to the Superbowl (where we lost against the cheating Steelers and I will no longer be your friend if you are rooting for the Steelers to win the Superbowl this year!!). Holmgren's wife, Kathy, raised the beloved 12th Man flag that day which of course started the water works for my mom and I. Thank you Coach Holmgren, you will be missed. Coach Mora...you have mighty big shoes to fill!

Hudson's Birthday Party

We are members at the Imagine Children's Museum in Everett, so we decided to have Hudson's birthday party there. With the snow storm still hitting us pretty good, I was afraid we would have to cancel. Luckily, the day before the party, the snow slowed down and over half of the guests said they would still be there so it was party time! The kids all had a blast and of course Hudson's favorite was driving the bus and playing in the water room. Thanks everyone for braving the weather and making Hudson's birthday so special!

Hudson Turns 2

First, sorry for the delay in blogging. As I get caught up, you'll see why and I know you will forgive me!! Now, on to the updates...

Everyone says it as each year goes by, but I can't believe my baby boy is 2!! I had a much harder time with 2 than I thought I would. He seems so grown up to me. Here's the Huddy update:

1. Can count to 10 by himself, 20 with help
2. Sings A LOT and LOVES it, can do the ABC's by himself
3. Speaks in sentences and the longest I've counted is an 8 worder (not surprising for the child who said Dad, not Dada or Daddy, but DAD at 6 months, his Dr. told me at his 9 month appt he would be an early talker)
4. Goes potty on the toilet when it's convenient for him, always pees though before bath. Has pooped a time or two. Honestly, he would be potty trained if Mommy had time, horrible right?!!?
5. Loves Gogurt, frozen or not
6. Is on his second ear infection and forth cold in the past 3 months
7. No longer needs to be rocked for naps or bed (yesssssssssssss!!!)
8. Awesome at hugs and kisses, especially ones for his sister
9. Loves to dance
10. Can jump with both feet, forward, and off of everything. He's actually turned into quite the dare devil

The list could go on and on, but these are the top 10 that popped into my mind first. I love my little monkey, even when he pushes me past the point of my patience level. I've learned so much from Hudson and some day when he can appreciate it, I will thank him. We had planned to take him to Red Robin again this year for his birthday dinner, but the snow kept us home bound. We would have made it no problem in Ryan's monster truck, the issue was more that the roads were being closed one by one that very night! Fortunately Molly and Maddie had come over earlier to play and brought cupcakes so at least I had something to put his candles on. Thanks for saving the day Molly!!

Our First Snow

I absolutely love the snow, I wish we got snow more, all winter long actually. There should be a rule that if it's going to be as cold as it is here in the winter, it should just snow! My favorite is that first snow, the one where you go to bed at night with those first few flakes coming down and you just can't wait to look out the window in the morning. And then when you do look out everything is covered in that perfect white, clean snow...ahhhh. I couldn't wait to show Hudson the snow on Sunday morning, our first perfect snowfall!

Cookie Exchange

I hosted a Cookie Exchange Party this year and it was so much fun! My friend Elesha was nice enough (and smart enough!) to buy large Holiday platters for everyone to take home their treats, thanks Elesh! There were cookies & bars of all kinds, toffee, and peppermint bark. Everyone really out did themselves! I learned a lot about my friends by watching them make their trays. I learned that my friend Natalie is a type A such as myself...look at that perfect tray!!

The next four Stroller Strides moms to add baby #2 to their family! Melissa, Kelsie, Elesha, and I are passing down the prego torch to Teresa, Nadine, Sam, and Natalie (remember when I warned you about the water in my Stroller Strides group, um yeah...)

Thanks Ladies for making this year's Cookie Exchange a HUGE success, I can't wait for our 2nd Annual Exchange next year!! (Not pictured do to early departure: Tami, Rachel, Nikki, and Wendy)

Random Fun

Ryan insists that Charlotte is big enough for the saucer, so here she is, hangin' out in the saucer!

She actually does fine if she keeps her arms out to the sides, but that doesn't last long and she normally ends up with her hands inside the chair part which makes her bobble forward. Maybe it's just me refusing to believe that she is 3 months old, super strong, and probably is ready for the saucer...sigh.

Random shot of Huddy and Charlie under the tree. For whatever reason, Ryan wants to let Hudson's hair grow out. He's actually being quite stubborn about it! I guess I just need to deal with the fact that Hudson will have this hair for his 2nd birthday and Christmas, lol!!

Hudson loves olives and of course loves to have them put on his fingers. Normally I just put them on his pointer fingers, but he got spoiled the other night and had them on all 5 fingers! We all had a good laugh.
